How to choose Juice transfer & balancing for juice processing

Selection guide for juice transfer & balancing: compare product, hydraulics, buffer, product interfaces and quotation scope.

MATCH THE MACHINE TO THE JOB

Connect unlike upstream and downstream rates without obscuring product hold conditions.

Feed: Juice with a specified temperature, viscosity, pulp and gas condition.

Output: Controlled feed to the next equipment boundary.

Specify the transfer duty before naming a pump

Identify the liquid, viscosity, required flow and upstream and downstream equipment. Ask how the proposed transfer arrangement meets the connection and pressure-drop requirement. An illustrated pump is not evidence of a universal juice duty.

Consider buffering and product residence

Clarify whether a vessel must balance changing flows and how the next machine is supplied. Provide known operating conditions, useful storage or buffer requirements and the product’s residence constraints. Compare the actual operating boundary rather than tank size alone.

Check connections and hygienic release

Review sanitary connections, seals, drainage, isolation and the cleaning path for the retained and new components. Request a clear supply boundary for pipework, valves and controls. Existing equipment should be checked for fit rather than assumed compatible.

Selection questions for your quotation

Product
State at the transfer point and allowable variation
Hydraulics
Actual flow, resistance and pressure limits
Buffer
Working range, control logic and hold constraints

Check cleaning and maintenance access

Review drainage, seal inspection, safe pressure release and access around valves/instruments.

What this equipment does not establish

A tank’s gross volume is not a proven production or preservation capability.

What to include in your enquiry

Describe your incoming material and the required output above. Provide the known duty and units, operating schedule and the upstream and downstream equipment. If a value is undecided, tell us which part you need help specifying.
