How to specify fruit juice equipment capacity
Use raw-fruit kg/h, juice L/h and evaporation-water kg/h correctly when comparing equipment quotations.
Start with the material at the inlet
A washer or crusher receives fruit; a separator or thermal skid receives liquid; an evaporator removes water from a defined juice feed. State the material and units at each boundary instead of asking every machine to meet one unexplained capacity.
Include the conditions that change the duty
Provide fruit variety and inlet form, temperature, solids or particle content and the target product. Separate incoming juice volume from finished-product mass, and give the basis used for any concentration requirement.
Allow for your operating schedule
State operating hours, campaign length, changeovers and cleaning time. Peak receiving demand, steady liquid demand and storage or buffering duties can differ. Ask the quotation to explain the duty basis rather than inferring it from an installed motor or nameplate.
What to include in your enquiry
Tell us the fruit or incoming liquid, equipment requested, required rate with units, operating hours and the downstream machine or pack. If capacity is undecided, describe your production goal and identify what still needs to be established.
Start with your boundary
Keep what fits. Specify what is missing.
Bring your existing equipment list into a fruit-specific stage review. A nameplate alone is not an integration specification.
