Fruit Pulper and Finisher

Control pulp and remove specified unwanted solids at the right stage.

The main difference

A crusher breaks suitable fruit into mash for another recovery operation. A pulper or finisher separates selected fractions through a screen while producing the required pulp or liquid stream. Crushing and screen separation are different duties, even when both machines have a rotating assembly.

When to compare a crusher

Consider mash preparation when your next machine is a press and the fruit can release and drain juice under the proposed conditions. Agree the incoming fruit size, required mash condition and the receiving press. Examine fines, feed consistency and cleaning access together.

When to compare a pulper

Consider pulping or finishing when edible flesh, coarse matter, fibre or seeds must be separated at a defined boundary. Give the wanted retained pulp, accepted particles and reject composition. A finer screen is not automatically a better product, and a finisher does not automatically make clear juice.

What makes a useful trial

Bring representative fruit and define the same feed boundary for both offers. Compare product and rejects, accepted solids, handling and cleaning. Recovery figures from prepared flesh cannot be compared directly with whole-fruit figures without accounting for upstream losses.
