MATCH THE MACHINE TO THE JOB
Make re-used and new equipment part of a defined hygienic release.

List the tanks, product pipes, valves, heat exchangers and other closed paths included in the duty. Record supply and return connections and drainage. Possession of a CIP unit does not demonstrate coverage of a changed or extended circuit.
Keep open equipment access separate
Open washer surfaces, crusher housings and removable machine parts may require their own cleaning access. Ask which duties are closed-circuit cleaning and which remain manual. A CIP skid does not make every retained machine automatically cleanable.
Define the responsible verification
Agree the relevant circuit limits, checking method and release responsibilities for the actual product and soil. Include scheduling, maintenance access and service connections. Do not assume one universal chemical programme or cleaning schedule across every equipment family.

Check cleaning and maintenance access
Provide safe isolation, chemical segregation, drainage and maintained instruments for the cleaning equipment itself.
What this equipment does not establish
An existing CIP skid is inventory pending fit review, not proof that a new module is cleanable.
