Direct juice, concentrate and reconstitution
Describe what happens to the water and ingredients without confusing it with clarity.
Direct juice route
The selection uses direct juice to mean no concentration/reconstitution and no water-added formulation. Actual product eligibility, permitted processing and market labelling require review of the complete product record; equipment selection alone does not certify an NFC claim.
Producing concentrate
Water removal is a deliberate process duty with a specified input and concentrated output. Define the solids method, quality limits and heat sensitivity. The concentrate may be cloudy or clarified depending on the product and equipment.
Reconstituting concentrate
Purchased concentrate and specified reconstitution water create a from-concentrate route. A restored solids reading does not make the product NFC. Confirm the water, components and product composition against the applicable requirements.
Formulating a beverage
Adding water or other ingredients can create a formulated product whose identity must be defined independently. Include the formulation and preservation review in the project instead of using NFC as a generic label for any fruit-based liquid.
